Ein ***-Buch

I've just read the first book in the series about the two teenagers Dylan and Gray in German and when I found out that there is a sequel to it I was a little bit confused at first because I thought that there actually was no need for a sequel to this story but then I was too eager to know what Dylan and Gray are experiencing in this book...well, my first thought was right. There was no NEED for a sequel.
Dylan tried to find herself in Europe but after making a bad experience she realizes that she already found a big part of being her in her love to Gray and so she decides to go back home to the US and surprise Gray, but it isn't that easy. He is hurt by not having heard anything from her for months and she tries to fit in Grays life...

Actually nothing new happens - being different but still in love is a big topic again as it was in the first book, the same with changing other people's lives and being someone unique. But I missed the freshness and creativity in these ideas that I liked so much in the first book. It's just a back and forth of love and being yourself and nothing exactly made me think "Oh yeah, I really needed this 'Second chance'". Plus, there were some mistakes in it - not only double words and such things but also content related ones (FYI, the Aegean coast is nowhere close to Italy!) If it wasn't for a few smart expressions I would have only given the book two stars.

I especially liked: "But, how far do you go for love? How much of your life do you give up for a single person? And how much do you let yourself change? When you stop being yourself, who will you become?" And: "Count your blessings. You have your health and your wisdom and all your teeth."

Katie Kacvinsky already announces a third book "Finally, Forever" but I don't know if I'm going to read it after I've found this one quite disappointing.
